W7 ‘Colour Me Buff’ Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

(I’d just like to start off by saying that I have the old packaged and differently named ‘In The Buff’ palette – the formula, colours and product are exactly the same as the ‘Colour Me Buff’ palette. My packaging shows ‘In The Buff’ but I shall be referring to the palette as ‘Colour Me Buff’ as not to confuse anyone that may wish to look for it after reading this post. Sorry for the inconsistency.)

W7 ‘Colour Me Buff’ Eyeshadow Palette

I’m gonna start this post off by simply saying – I absolutely love this palette. I posted about it on Instagram just over a month ago and received some great feedback from fellow W7 lovers.

I bought the W7 Colour Me Buff Eyeshadow Palette quite a while ago. I used it a few times, placed it in the back of a drawer, and quite honestly forgot about it. Up until recently I’d mostly been using cream eyeshadow sticks but I wanted to get back in the swing of playing with eyeshadows again. I remembered this palette, stashed away, and dragged it out.

I don’t know why I ever put this away; the colour scheme in this palette was made for me. There are 3 mattes (a yellow tone, Buff, a cool brown, Chocolate, and a jet black, Onyx). The rest of the shadows have shimmer to them; some more than others. Sand and Silk have a gentle glow whereas Camel, Dust and Topaz have a really intense metallic look to them. Dust and Camel are quite possibly my favourite shades from this palette.

The camera flash really brings out the shimmer in the shades

All the shadows blend beautifully and never ‘muddy’ together. The metallics are beautiful and give a gentle glow when dusted on the lid or can be made more intense with a dampened flat brush or simply by applying with your finger.

A great affordable dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Overall, I think this is a great versatile palette that’s perfect for those just starting out with makeup and even for working artists. It’s cruelty-free, too!

The W7 Colour Me Buff palette is available here* just £4.99 (usually £9.95) with free UK delivery.
